For as long as I can remember I have been writing and publishing short articles online and also blogging about my life experiences. Non Profit Leader
In 2012, I launched what I call my heart work. GESSL creates opportunities for girls in Sierra Leone to become leaders and change agents. As a social entrepreneur and feminist, it was important for me to create such a space for girls and with an amazing group of women we continue to ensure girls are thriving and to date we have impacted over 200 girls in Sierra Leone. My formal training is focused on working with established international organizations set up and have operational functional sustainability whilst operating as social enterprises and organizations. I provide various trainings, curriculum development and design, evaluation and report services to these organizations. Communications Specialist
I enjoy curating stories of women owned brands, companies and organizations as well as developing concepts and strategies by African women both in the diaspora and on the continent. Researcher and Educator
I learn to share and teach. I am an educator in many ways and facilitating learning processes is something I enjoy. Currently I teach graduate students how to create and develop sustainable social impact programs as a lecturer at Columbia University School of Social work. I have also given several keynote addresses at various universities including Rutgers University, Middlebury College and the United Nations Commission on the Status of women.
